Fireflies Smoky Mountain 2024. The public may apply for the limited viewing opportunity by entering a lottery for a vehicle pass through www.recreation.gov. Our goal for this workshop will be to photograph the famous synchronous firefly display that happens only once a year and only for about two weeks.
The rangers at great smoky mountains national park have announced that may 30 through june 6 will be the peak days for its popular synchronous firefly viewingโor, as we like to think of it, the unofficial start of summer. These fireflies are special because they synchronize โ all lighting up at once!
